Calretinin
Use
Calretinin is the most specific and reproducible positive marker of epithelial mesothelioma. It is a calcium‑binding protein similar to S100, found in central and peripheral nervous systems and a wide array of non‑neural cells; calretinin immunostaining is observed in most epithelial mesotheliomas. This test helps to identify and support diagnosis of epithelial mesothelioma using immunohistochemical staining.
