CD14
Use
CD14 immunohistochemistry (IHC) identifies expression of the CD14 antigen in cells of monocytic lineages such as macrophages and monocytes, and weakly in granulocytes, Langerhans cells, dendritic cells, and B‑cells. Positive staining is informative in the evaluation of hematologic malignancies including B‑cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (B‑CLL), follicular center cell lymphoma, diffuse large B‑cell lymphoma (DLBCL), and acute myeloid leukemia subtypes M4/M5.
Special Instructions
This is a technical‑only IHC test. Preferred specimen is a formalin‑fixed, paraffin‑embedded (FFPE) tissue block, or one unbaked, unstained H&E slide (required) plus two to three positively charged unstained slides, all cut at 4‑5 microns per antibody ordered. Specimen labels must match requisition. For transport, use a cold pack not in direct contact with the specimen. New York State clients must provide collection date and time.
