CD44
Use
The CD44 family of glycoproteins exists in a number of variant isoforms, including hematopoietic variant (CD44s) and epithelial cell variant (CD44v). Although many human tumors express CD44, a positive correlation between increased CD44 expression and tumor progression has only been demonstrated in some cases. The most practical application of CD44 immunostaining currently is to distinguish urothelial transitional cell carcinoma in situ from non‑neoplastic changes in the urothelium.
