Among cyclin/CDK proteins, CDK4 and cyclin D1 are the most frequently activated by somatic genetic alterations in multiple tumor types. CDK4 antibody assists in distinguishing atypical lipomatous tumor well‑differentiated liposarcoma (WDL) (positive) from benign adipocytic neoplasms (negative).

Collection Instructions
One unbaked, unstained slide for H&E staining (required) and two to three (2‑3) positively charged unstained slides, all cut at 4‑5 microns, per test/antibody ordered. A formalin‑fixed, paraffin‑embedded (FFPE) tissue block is preferred. Block and slide identifiers should match specimen ID as noted on the requisition.
Storage Instructions
Use cold pack for transport; ensure cold pack is not in direct contact with specimen. NYS clients please provide date and time of collection.
