DUSP22-IRF4 Rearrangement

Use
Detection of structural rearrangements involving the DUSP22‑IRF4 gene region at 6p25.3, which are implicated in certain lymphomas—specifically anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL) and large B‑cell lymphoma. The presence of this rearrangement contributes to diagnosis and may have prognostic implications.
Special Instructions
Level of Service available as Global or Technical Only. For technical‑only service, circle H&E on requisition. For NYS clients, include date and time of collection and transport with cold pack not in direct contact with specimen.
Limitations
This FISH assay requires H&E slide plus paraffin block or cut unstained slides; not validated on bone marrow aspirate, peripheral blood, fresh unfixed tissue, or fluids. Performance limitations may apply if specimens are improperly fixed or handled. Interpret results in context of morphology and immunophenotyping.

Paraffin Block: H&E slide (required) plus paraffin block. Cut Slides: H&E slide (required) plus 2 unstained slides cut at 4 microns.
