ERG
Use
ERG oncoprotein expression has been shown to be a highly specific marker for prostate cancer, and given the lack of ERG expression in a broad range of normal epithelial tissues and tumors, detection of ERG via immunohistochemistry serves as a valuable tool for diagnosing prostate cancer or determining prostatic origin. ERG is additionally a highly specific and sensitive marker of endothelial cells and vascular tumors, enhancing its utility in differential diagnosis.
