Use
Fontana Masson is a special immunohistochemical stain used in pathology, commonly to identify melanin and assess tissues in conditions such as melanoma, pigmented lesions, or neuroendocrine tumors; it's utilized as an adjunct diagnostic tool in histopathologic evaluations.
Special Instructions
Preferred specimen is formalin-fixed, paraffin‑embedded (FFPE) tissue block; alternatively, one unstained H&E slide (required) and two to three positively charged unstained slides (4‑5 microns) per antibody/test. Use cold pack for transport, avoid direct contact with specimen. For New York State clients, collection date and time must be provided.
