GLUT1
Use
Glucose transporter 1 (GLUT1) facilitates the transport of glucose across cell membranes. It is expressed in many human tissues including the colon, lung, stomach, esophagus, and breast. In cancers such as breast, renal, and bladder carcinoma, GLUT1 overexpression is associated with aggressive behavior, and its expression can assist in distinguishing malignant mesothelioma from reactive mesothelial proliferations.
