Use
Hepatitis B surface antigen targets Hepatitis B Virus Surface Antigen in immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications, enabling detection of the surface antigen protein of Hepatitis B virus—an important marker appearing early in infection before core antigen antibodies appear.
Special Instructions
Level of Service includes “Global” and “Tech Only.” “Tech Only” refers to stain-only service. The test is New York State–approved. Block and slide identifiers must exactly match those noted on the requisition. Storage and transport instructions specify use of cold packs without direct contact; New York clients must additionally provide date and time of collection.

Formalin‑fixed, paraffin‑embedded (FFPE) tissue block preferred or one unbaked, unstained H&E slide (required) plus two to three positively charged unstained slides cut at 4‑5 microns per test.

Use cold pack for transport; cold pack must not directly contact specimen. New York State clients must provide date and time of collection.
