Use
Human Placental Lactogen (HPL) is a polypeptide hormone synthesized in syncytiotrophoblastic cells of the placenta and is used as a tissue marker for certain trophoblastic tumors—aiding in identification of placenta‐related neoplasms.

Collection Instructions
A formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue block is preferred specimen type or one unbaked, unstained slide for H&E (required) plus two to three positively charged unstained slides (cut at 4‑5 microns) for each test/antibody ordered. Block and slide identifiers should match specimen ID on requisition.
Storage Instructions
Use cold pack for transport; do not allow cold pack to contact specimen directly.
