IgD Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
Use
The IgD antibody reacts with immunoglobulin Ig delta chains and is used for identifying leukemias, plasmacytomas, and B-cell lineage lymphomas, particularly marginal zone lymphoma. Cytoplasmic staining is clearly observable on paraffin-embedded tissue. IgD staining is also present in normal mantle zone B-lymphocytes.
Special Instructions
Ensure that block and slide identifiers are clearly written and match exactly with the specimen ID and specimen labeling as noted on the requisition. Use cold pack for transport, ensuring it is not in direct contact with the specimen. New York State clients should provide the date and time of collection.
