Lambda (Lambda Light Chain IgG) by IHC
Use
The antibody to the lambda light chain of immunoglobulin is useful for identifying leukemias, plasmacytomas, and certain non-Hodgkin lymphomas. Demonstration of monotypism in lymphoid infiltrates indicates clonality and possible malignancy.
Special Instructions
A formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue block is the preferred specimen type. Ensure cold pack transport without direct contact with specimen. NYS clients should provide collection date and time.
Limitations
Testing is dependent on the quality of the specimen provided and adherence to specific preparation guidelines. Incorrect specimen handling or improper collection methods might affect test outcomes.
