Mast Cell Add‑On Flow Panel
Use
This add‑on flow cytometry panel is used to clarify findings in specimens that are already undergoing flow cytometry analysis at NeoGenomics. The panel is available globally and for tech‑only clients. It evaluates expression of markers associated with mast cells—CD2, CD25, CD34, CD45, and CD117—to support detection and characterization of mast cell populations in conjunction with an existing flow cytometry panel.
Special Instructions
Available as global service or tech‑only (stand‑alone tech‑only testing is allowed). The panel is intended to complement either the Standard Leukemia/Lymphoma Analysis or the Extended Leukemia/Lymphoma Analysis. New York State samples must be received within 48 hours from collection; other specimens within 72 hours. Specimens should be refrigerated during transport (use cold pack not in direct contact; do not freeze).
Limitations
Stand‑alone testing is not available except for tech‑only clients, and the panel must be ordered as an add‑on to an existing flow cytometry analysis. Sample viability may be compromised if specimens are not received within the specified timeframes or are improperly stored (e.g., frozen or not refrigerated).
