MDS Standard FISH Panel

Use
The MDS Standard FISH Panel identifies the most frequent cytogenetic abnormalities associated with favorable, intermediate, and poor risk according to IPSS guidelines (since revised). See also the separate listing for MDS Extended FISH Panel which accommodates the 2012 IPSS-Revised classification.
Special Instructions
Probes may be ordered separately except +8 and 20q- which are combined. Reflex results will be reported separately as MDS Standard Reflex Panel. Use cold pack for transport, ensuring no direct contact with specimen. NYS clients please provide date and time of collection.
Limitations
Test is limited to detecting the chromosomal abnormalities specified. Reflex testing available only if main panel is negative.
