Melan A (Mart1)
Use
Melan A (Mart1, Melanoma Antigen Recognized by T-cells 1) is a differentiation antigen expressed in melanocytes and most melanomas. It recognizes a subcellular fraction in melanosomes and is specific for melanocytic lesions. It is useful in melanoma panels and is co‑expressed with HMB‑45 in most melanomas; it also labels tumor cells of some adrenocortical carcinomas and sex cord tumors of the gonads.
