NeoTYPE® Breast Tumor Profile
Also known as: Breast Tumor Profile
Use
The NeoTYPE Breast Tumor Profile characterizes primary or metastatic breast tumors of any histological subtype for the most significant genetic changes relevant to therapy decisions, prognosis, and clinical research. The test analyzes 60 biomarkers through a combination of next-generation sequencing (NGS), FISH, and IHC. It provides a summary interpretation of all results to guide treatment decisions.
Special Instructions
Test may include a reflex to NTRK NGS Fusion Panel or NTRK 1-3 FISH Panel based on IHC results. A microsatellite instability (MSI) NGS result of "indeterminate" can reflex to MSI by PCR if tumor percentage is ≥40% and paired normal tissue is available.
Limitations
The test analyzes genetic changes using NGS, FISH, and IHC. Reflex tests may be necessary under certain conditions, which might extend turnaround time. Specific limitations of each testing method, such as sensitivity and specificity, apply.
