Use
The NeoTYPE Endometrial Tumor Profile is designed to analyze genetic alterations in endometrial tumors using a comprehensive methodology that includes next-generation sequencing (NGS), FISH, and IHC. This test helps in guiding treatment decisions by providing a summary interpretation of all results. It reflexes tests for HER2, NTRK, and MSI if needed based on initial findings.
Special Instructions
If global HER2 IHC with Breast Scoring results in a score of 2+, the case will reflex to global HER2 FISH with Breast Scoring unless a reflex to tech-only FISH or reflex opt-out is requested. If Pan-TRK IHC is expressed or equivocal, reflex to either NTRK NGS Fusion Panel (Default) or NTRK 1-3 FISH Panel will be added.
Limitations
The test relies on the availability of adequate tumor tissue. Errors in fixation or tissue preservation may affect results. The test's performance is dependent on the quantity and quality of extracted DNA and the presence of at least 40% tumor content for some analyses.
