Use
The NeoTYPE® Gastric Tumor Profile is a multi-method test to assess 39 biomarkers using NGS, FISH, and IHC techniques. It provides a comprehensive analysis of gastric tumors to support therapeutic decision-making, including reflex testing for specific conditions such as NTRK fusions and microsatellite instability. This test aids in the identification of actionable mutations and proteins that are important for targeted therapy selection.
Special Instructions
The test order includes a summary interpretation of all results. Reflex testing conditions are based on specific expression or equivocal results. Reflecting on additional assessments if criteria like tumor percentage and availability of paired normal tissue are met for MSI by PCR reflex.
Limitations
Technical limitations include the reliance on FFPE tissue, the reflex conditions based on expression or indeterminate NGS results, and specific requirements for tissue storage and transport. Not all potential mutations or alterations may be detected due to the defined biomarker scope of 39 analytes.
