Use
The NeoTYPE Lung Tumor Profile provides a comprehensive analysis of 54 biomarkers using next-generation sequencing (NGS), FISH, and IHC to guide treatment decisions for lung cancer patients. It includes summary interpretation of results to assist in identifying actionable genetic mutations and alterations that may inform personalized treatment options. The test can reflex to additional analyses such as HER2 FISH or MSI by PCR based on specific results.
Special Instructions
Test orders include a summary interpretation of all results. Reflex testing includes HER2 FISH or MSI by PCR based on specific results. Samples should be transported on a cold pack ensuring it does not directly touch the specimen.
Limitations
This test relies on the quality and quantity of DNA extracted from formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue. Variability in fixation procedures and tumor heterogeneity may impact the results. Only mutations and alterations listed in the test description are analyzed. Not all possible genetic variants are detectable by the methods used.
