Use
The NeoTYPE Melanoma Tumor Profile provides comprehensive analysis of 30 biomarkers using a combination of NGS, FISH, and IHC methodologies, aiding in treatment decision-making. A summary interpretation of all results is provided, with reflex testing options for equivocal or indeterminate results, such as NTRK Fusion Panel and MSI by PCR, helping refine therapeutic strategies.
Special Instructions
If Pan-TRK IHC is expressed or equivocal, reflex testing is available. Ensure proper specimen preparation with 10% buffered formalin fixative, avoiding zinc fixatives. Cold pack transportation is required. Additional reflex testing depends on initial result outcomes.
Limitations
Results may vary based on the quality of specimens and specific assay limitations. Reflex testing is contingent on tumor percentage and availability of paired normal tissue. External factors such as improper specimen handling and inadequate specimen volume could lead to inconclusive results.
