NeoTYPE Ovarian Tumor Profile
Also known as: Ovarian Tumor Profile
Use
The NeoTYPE Ovarian Tumor Profile is used to analyze 68 biomarkers through a combination of NGS, FISH, and IHC methodologies. This test provides a summary interpretation of results to aid in treatment decisions for ovarian tumors. Specific reflex tests, such as HER2 (Other) FISH, NTRK NGS Fusion Panel, and MSI by PCR, are incorporated based on initial findings and specific criteria. It is particularly useful in determining the genetic and protein expression characteristics of ovarian tumors.
Special Instructions
Test orders include summary interpretation of all results to guide treatment decisions. Reflex testing is available for HER2 and NTRK based on specific conditions. Ensure that the specimen is stored and transported correctly using a cold pack, not in direct contact with the specimen. Always check for reflex options regarding FISH or NGS panels.
Limitations
This test relies on sufficient tumor percentage and the availability of paired normal tissue for the MSI by PCR reflex. The reflex process for HER2 and NTRK testing is based on initial test outcomes. The test and its reflexes are intended for use within designated parameters, and incorrect specimen handling can lead to test rejection.
