Use
The NeoTYPE Thyroid Tumor Profile is used to analyze 32 biomarkers through a combination of next-generation sequencing (NGS), FISH, and IHC. It provides a summary interpretation of all results to guide treatment decisions. It includes reflex testing based on specific results, such as reflexing to NTRK NGS Fusion Panel or NTRK 1-3 FISH Panel if Pan-TRK IHC is equivocal, and MSI by PCR reflex if the tumor percentage is ≥40% and paired normal tissue is available.
Special Instructions
Reflex testing conditions and handling instructions are outlined. Specimen transportation requires cold packs, making sure they are not in direct contact with the specimen.
Limitations
Interpretations can be affected if reflex testing is required under specific conditions such as equivocal IHC results or indeterminate MSI NGS results without available paired normal tissue. Limitations regarding potential reflex tests and their additional turnaround times are indicated.
