NTRK3 (15q25.3) FISH
Use
This test identifies structural rearrangements at the NTRK3 locus (15q25.3) important in various solid tumor cancers. It is particularly significant in diagnosing conditions like infantile fibrosarcoma (IFS), mammary analog secretory carcinoma (MASC), secretory breast carcinoma (SBC), and congenital mesoblastic nephroma (CMN).
Special Instructions
For tech-only services, please send a paraffin block and a circled H&E slide. Cut slides should include an H&E slide plus four unstained slides cut at 4-5 microns.
Limitations
The test is limited to detecting rearrangements specifically at the NTRK3 locus. Results are dependent on sample quality and proper handling. Certain rearrangements outside the probe coverage may not be detected.
