Use
Olig2 is a transcription factor involved in oligodendroglial specification. Its expression is reported in most glial tumors such as oligodendrogliomas and astrocytomas, and is negative in non-glial tumors including neuroepithelial tumors, ependymomas, medulloblastomas, CNS lymphomas, meningiomas, schwannomas, atypical teratoid/rhabdoid tumor, and hemangioblastomas.

Collection Instructions
A formalin‑fixed, paraffin‑embedded (FFPE) tissue block is preferred or one unbaked, unstained slide for H&E staining (required) plus 2‑3 positively charged unstained slides (all cut at 4‑5 microns). Block and slide identifiers must match specimen ID on requisition.
Storage Instructions
Use cold pack for transport; do not place cold pack in direct contact with specimen. NYS clients: provide date and time of collection.
