PMS2
Use
PMS2, also known as PMS1 protein homologue 2, is a DNA mismatch repair (MMR) protein which forms a heterodimer with MLH1 and coordinates repair of DNA errors during cell division. Loss of PMS2 expression in tumors can aid in identifying hMLH1 mutation carriers. PMS2 gene defects contribute to a small but notable portion of colorectal cancers and a substantial subset of tumors exhibiting microsatellite instability.
