Use
Tartrate‐resistant acid phosphatase (TRAcP) immunohistochemistry is useful in the identification of hairy cell leukemia, although it is not completely specific. This can aid in supporting diagnosis in the appropriate histopathologic and clinical context.

TRAP IHC is not a completely specific marker and may be positive in other cell types; interpretation must consider potential cross‑reactivity and morphological correlation.

Collection Instructions
A formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue block is preferred, or one unbaked, unstained slide for H&E staining (required) and two to three positively charged unstained slides (cut at 4–5 microns) for each test/antibody ordered.
Storage Instructions
Use cold pack for transport, making sure cold pack is not in direct contact with specimen. NYS clients please provide date and time of Collection.
