Gastric Cancer Panel
Use
This test is intended for individuals with relevant clinical features or a suspected diagnosis of hereditary gastric cancer syndrome. It is also suitable for those with a personal or family history suggestive of hereditary gastric cancer. The panel includes 19 genes associated with gastric cancer and can aid in identifying genetic mutations that may contribute to the disease.
Special Instructions
STAT testing is available, adding a 25% surcharge to the price. The surcharge will not apply if the report is delivered after 16 days and a blood sample was submitted. For institutional pricing, sign in is required. Test ordering can be performed online via myPrevent or via the downloadable test requisition form for fax orders.
Limitations
This test is performed using NGS with CNV (PGselect Platform), and all tests have not been cleared or approved by the US Food and Drug Administration. The panel includes only 19 genes, and any mutations outside these genes will not be detected. The test may not detect all genetic changes associated with gastric cancer due to technical limitations of the sequencing platform.
