Allergy Panel 19, Seafood Group (7919)
Also known as: ImmunoCAP®
Use
This in vitro allergen-specific IgE panel is used to quantitatively measure an individual’s IgE response to six seafood allergens—codfish, crab, lobster, salmon, shrimp, and tuna—to aid in evaluation of potential food allergy. Allergen-specific serum IgE testing can complement clinical history and may be preferred over skin testing in certain situations. Only a healthcare provider should interpret results and confirm diagnosis in context of symptoms and medical history.
