Amoxicillin
Use
Quantitative measurement of amoxicillin levels in serum to assess therapeutic drug monitoring. Useful for determining whether serum concentrations are within therapeutic trough (0.5–1 µg/mL) or peak (5–15 µg/mL) ranges; does not detect clavulanate levels, even in combination products.
Special Instructions
Not provided.
Limitations
Assay measures only amoxicillin; clavulanate levels are not detected even if administered as amoxicillin‑clavulanate. Interpretation should include clinical evaluation; toxic range is not established.
