Collection Instructions
Draw blood in prechilled sodium heparin tube; centrifuge within 30 minutes; separate plasma; freeze immediately; label as “supine” or “upright” if applicable.
Patient Preparation
Overnight fasting; patient relaxed in supine or upright; avoid alcohol, coffee, tea, tobacco, strenuous exercise prior to collection.
