Urine container, 24-hour

Collect aliquot of a well-mixed 24-hour urine. Collect urine in 2 qt plastic bottle containing 25 mL 6N HCl. Indicate 24-hour volume. Patients should be instructed to avoid direct contact with collection bottles or bags containing preservatives, especially hydrochloric acid. Collection instructions: Patients should be given two containers: one bottle containing 6N HCl should be used for pooling voids over 24 hour collection period; additional bottle should be used for each void and poured into pooling bottle immediately following void.

Store and ship frozen.
