HS CRP
Also known as: Cardiac CRP, CRP, High Sensitivity, CCRP, Ultrasensitive CRP
Use
High-sensitivity C‑reactive protein (hs‑CRP) is used to detect low but persistent levels of inflammation more precisely than standard CRP tests, and is used by healthcare professionals to help assess cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk. Elevated hs‑CRP has been associated with increased risk of developing atherosclerotic disease, and reductions in hs‑CRP have been associated with decreased cardiovascular event risk. This test is not intended for diagnosing or monitoring acute inflammatory conditions.

Not provided.
Limitations
Results above approximately 10 mg/L are considered abnormal and likely reflect acute inflammation rather than chronic cardiovascular risk and should be interpreted accordingly or retested when acute illness has resolved.
