Use
The indican urine test measures indican levels in urine, which reflect intestinal bacterial fermentation of tryptophan. Elevated indican can indicate intestinal dysbiosis, small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), protein malabsorption, or other digestive disorders.
Special Instructions
Fasting not required. Avoid alcohol for 24 hours and iodine or bile supplements for 72 hours prior to collection.
