Post‑Transplant, Herpesvirus 6 DNA, Real‑Time PCR, Blood
Also known as: PTxplnt, Specialized, Human Herpes Virus, Txplnt, Services
Use
This molecular assay is used to detect and quantify the presence of Human Herpesvirus 6 (HHV‑6) DNA in post‑transplant patient blood samples, enabling rapid identification of viral reactivation or infection, prior to detection by immunological methods.
Special Instructions
Not provided.
Limitations
Reportable quantitative range is from 500 to 2,000,000 copies/mL (2.70 to 6.30 log copies/mL). Laboratory results should be interpreted in the context of clinical observations. This test was developed in‑house and has not been cleared or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the FDA has determined such clearance is not necessary.
