Collection Instructions
Dry stone(s) (kidney, gall bladder, urinary bladder, salivary, prostate, filtered material) collected in a sterile screw cap container. Clean any blood or foreign material from the stone with water. Stone should be air dried thoroughly at room temperature for approximately 24 hours. Important: Do not tape specimen; Do not send stone in formalin, surgical gel, or any transport media; Avoid sending filters and cotton swabs (Q‑tips). In cases for multiple stones that require individual analysis, testing must be ordered for each stone and will be charged separately. Each stone should be placed in its own plastic container.

Specimens that are taped, in liquid media, or damp stones requiring additional processing (may delay testing)
