Use
The test measures the level of Rhizopus nigricans specific IgG antibodies in the serum. Limitations
This test has not been cleared or approved by the US Food and Drug Administration and is developed as a Laboratory Developed Test (LDT) for clinical purposes. The test may not be appropriate for diagnosis of active Rhizopus infection, as IgG levels could be influenced by previous exposure or sensitization. Hemolyzed, icteric, or lipemic specimens are not acceptable for analysis.
