Use
This test provides a quantitative analysis of free carnitine, acylcarnitine, and total carnitine in plasma. Carnitine and its derivatives are essential for normal energy metabolism. Special Instructions
The test requires blood to be drawn in a Sodium Heparin tube, which should be separated promptly. A minimum of 1-2 cc of plasma is needed for analysis.
