Use
CD103 is a heterodimeric transmembrane surface receptor that is expressed by several cell types of the immune system and is involved in cell to cell or cell to matrix interactions. CD103 is also a diagnostic tool in the detection of hairy cell leukemia (HCL) and hairy cell leukemia variant (HCL-v).

Limitations
Specimens must be fixed in 10% NBF or B plus. All other fixatives will be rejected. Stained slides and FFPE blocks are stable indefinitely, but fresh tissue must be stabilized within 72 hours.

Collection Instructions
Fixative should be at a 20:1 fixative to tissue ratio, 10% neutral buffered formalin (NBF) for 6-72 hours, with 48-72 hours preferred.
Causes for Rejection
Specimens must be fixed in 10% NBF or B plus. All other fixatives will be rejected.
