Use
The Comprehensive Neuropathy Panel is designed for individuals with relevant clinical features or a suspected diagnosis of peripheral neuropathy. It is suitable for those with abnormal nerve conduction velocity test results, foot deformities, loss of balance, foot drop, frequent tripping and falls, distal muscle weakness, or sensory loss such as reduced ability to feel heat, cold, or touch.
Special Instructions
Test options include Exome-Wide CNV Analysis and STAT Testing, which may add additional charges. The test is New York approved. It is essential to include detailed clinical notes and a pedigree to aid in the interpretation of variants. Orders can be placed online or by mailing the completed test requisition form.
Limitations
This test is not cleared or approved by the US Food and Drug Administration. While the performance characteristics are validated by PreventionGenetics following CAP and CLIA regulations, interpretation of results may depend on the completeness of the clinical information provided. Discrepancies in variant interpretation or limitations in identifying CNVs may exist.
