Use
DCP is intended for use as an aid in the risk assessment of patients with chronic liver disease for progression to hepatocellular carcinoma in conjunction with other laboratory findings, imaging studies, and clinical assessment.1
Special Instructions
The test should be used alongside imaging studies for clinical diagnosis. Separate serum from cells and transfer to a plastic transport tube. Submit separate frozen specimens for each test requested to avoid delays.
Limitations
Values obtained with different assay methods or kits cannot be used interchangeably, and results cannot be interpreted as absolute evidence of the presence or absence of malignant disease.
