Special Instructions
Separate serum or plasma from cells as soon as possible or within 2 hours of collection. Transfer 1 mL serum or plasma to an ARUP Standard Transport Tube. This test is not performed at ARUP Laboratories; separate specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered.
Limitations
The test's performance characteristics have not been cleared or approved by the US Food and Drug Administration. Results may vary depending on the laboratory performing the test. Precision in specimen handling and preparation is critical as the test requires specific conditions for stability and storage. Separator tubes are not acceptable for specimen collection, which can potentially affect the accuracy of results.
