Granzyme B
Use
Granzyme B is a neutral serine protease stored in specialized lytic granules of cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTL) and natural killer (NK) cells. When released by CTL and NK cells, Granzyme B induces DNA fragmentation and apoptosis in target cells.

Limitations
Specimens must be fixed in 10% neutral buffered formalin or B plus. All other fixatives will be rejected. Specimens should be tested within 3 months after being placed in ethanol. Final turnaround times will be specified in the biopharma study contract and are subject to change based on protocol requirements.

Collection Instructions
Fresh tissues should be fixed at a 20:1 fixative to tissue ratio, 10% neutral buffered formalin for 6-72 hours (48-72 hours preferred).
Storage Instructions
Store at 15°C to 25°C. May be transferred to 70% alcohol for transportation.
Causes for Rejection
Specimens must be fixed in 10% NBF or B plus. All other fixatives will be rejected.
