Use
Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) can complicate several collagen vascular diseases including Systemic Sclerosis, Idiopathic Inflammatory Myopathies, Sjogren's Syndrome, Systemic Lupus Erythematosis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and ANCA-Associated Vasculitis. This profile is designed to identify an underlying autoimmune disorder, assist therapeutic decision-making and assess disease prognosis.
Special Instructions
Ensure proper blood collection and serum separation within the stipulated time to avoid rejection due to hemolysis or contamination. For more information or specific guidelines, refer to the detailed test document Autoimmune Profiles (L108456).
Limitations
This test was developed and its performance characteristics determined by LabCorp. It has not been cleared or approved by the Food and Drug Administration. Results should be interpreted in conjunction with clinical findings and other diagnostic procedures. The test can have false positives due to non-disease related antibodies present in the sample.
