Special Instructions
The test requires separation of specimen from cells as soon as possible or within 2 hours of collection. Specimens must be submitted separately if multiple tests are ordered, as this test is not performed at ARUP. It's important to note that separator tubes are unacceptable for this test.
Limitations
The Lurasidone Quantitative test is performed by a non-ARUP laboratory and its performance characteristics were determined by NMS Labs without FDA clearance or approval. Moreover, the test is subject to limitations characteristic of high-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry, such as potential interference from other medications or substances present in the serum or plasma, which could affect the accuracy of results. Additionally, the method requires careful handling and precise measurement conditions, which are essential for ensuring reliability and accuracy of the quantitative outcomes.
