Use
The Mushroom IgG test is utilized in special clinical situations to assess immunologic sensitization by certain mushroom allergens. While reference values for food-specific IgG tests are not established, their clinical utility can be in selecting foods for elimination based on patient complaints related to food intake. This test helps in identifying possible food allergens but is not evidence of a food allergy, as it only indicates the presence of food-specific IgG.
