Use
Used for hepatitis B virus (HBV) and hepatitis C virus (HCV) prenatal screening. If the initial HCV antibody result is positive (low or high), the test reflexes to a quantitative nucleic acid amplification (NAAT) to confirm HCV infection. Similarly, if HBsAg screen is reactive (≥1.0), a confirmation is added. Not intended for blood donor screening or HCT/P screening. Clinically indicated for prenatal populations only. Special Instructions

Limitations

Causes for Rejection
Body fluids other than serum or plasma; heparinized plasma; specimens containing particulates or microbial contamination; heat‑inactivated, severely hemolyzed, or lipemic specimens.
