Prostaglandin D2 (PG D2), Serum or Plasma
Also known as: PROSTAG D2
Use
Prostaglandin D2 (PG D2) testing is primarily of research interest and is used to measure concentrations in serum or plasma. While the results can provide useful insights into PG D2 levels, they should be interpreted with caution, as the test has not been cleared or approved by the US Food and Drug Administration, and results cannot be directly compared with those from different methods or laboratories. PG D2 is a prostaglandin involved in numerous physiological processes including inflammation and regulation of the sleep-wake cycle.
