Clinical Use
Order TestUse
The test measures thyroid‑stimulating hormone (TSH) to evaluate thyroid function and, if the TSH result is outside the reference range, reflexively measures free T4 to aid in diagnosis of hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism.
Special Instructions
If TSH is abnormal, a free T4 (T4, Free) will be automatically performed at no additional cost to the patient or provider.
