Use
This test is used to optimize dosing and monitor patient adherence for Zolpidem, a medication used to treat insomnia. It measures the concentration of Zolpidem in serum or plasma to provide insight into therapeutic drug levels and patient compliance.
Special Instructions
This test has been developed and its performance characteristics determined by ARUP Laboratories. While it is performed in a CLIA certified laboratory, it has not been cleared or approved by the US Food and Drug Administration. It is intended for clinical purposes and should not be used for forensic purposes.
Limitations
The absence of expected drug may indicate non-compliance, inappropriate timing of specimen collection relative to drug administration, poor drug absorption, diluted or adulterated urine, or limitations of testing. The concentration value must be greater than or equal to the cutoff of 20 ng/mL to be reported as positive. Interpretive questions should be directed to the laboratory.
