Use
The Allergen, Fungi and Molds, Alternaria tenuis IgG test is used to detect allergen-specific IgG antibodies to Alternaria tenuis. This test helps in assessing exposure or sensitivity to this specific fungus, which can be crucial for patients exhibiting allergic symptoms or for environmental exposure assessment.
Special Instructions
Specimens from New York clients will be sent out to a New York state-approved laboratory as testing is not New York state approved.
Limitations
Values less than 2.00 mcg/mL represent absent or undetectable levels of allergen-specific IgG antibody. This test has not been cleared or approved by the US Food and Drug Administration and is intended for clinical purposes. The units of measure mcg/mL and mgA/L are interchangeable, where 1 mg/L equals 1000 mcg/1000 mL.
